11/13: Next week I will begin covering Chapters 13 and 14. However, these chapters will NOT be covered on Test 3 on 11/24. These will instead be covered on the final exam. My coverage of Chapters 13 and 14 will be limited as follows:

Chapter 14 Sections 14.1 and 14.2 only
Chapter 13 Sections 13.1, 13.2, and 13.5, but skip pp. 509-511.

The order of my coverage will not correspond to the text. I will first cover 13.5, then I will cover sections 14.1 and 14.2, then I will cover the remaining sections of Chapter 13. I expect to post handouts soon, as well as some test review materials.

10/17: We have a test on Monday 10/27. I have decided that this test will cover Chapters 6 - 9. Chapter 10 will NOT be covered on the test.

I have now posted the Aplia assignment for Chapter 9. Because of the upcoming test, the due date for this will NOT be on a Sunday, as is usually the case. I have made the due date for this assignment next Friday night (10/24). This is intended to allow you several days to look over the answers for these problems before the test.

I plan to hold an online test review session in the same format that I used for the Test 1 review session. I plan to hold the review session at 8 pm on Wednesday, 10/22. Next week I will post questions prior to the review session and will also post a link to the review session online meeting.

Please note that I made an error in the discussion of slide 16, mixing up the labeling of goods X and Y. In the discussion of slide 15 (about 30 minutes into the recording), I chose to make burgers good X. But in slide 16, the question said to treat gasoline as good X. In my recorded answer, I instead kept burgers as good X and therefore gave an incorrect answer. At the prompting of one of your classmates, this error was noted at the end of the recording (be sure to watch until the end to hear this).

7/31: This site is under construction. However, the information below about the textbook and Aplia is correct. I am NOT using i-clickers this semester.

I will be using an Aplia online course packet for this class. Aplia includes an e-book edition of your textbook as well as assignments for you to complete during the semester. You  can register now; payment is not required until 9/7/2008. You can begin working on your homework as soon as you register! Registration instructions are below.
